Young pianist Kevin Tan was among the prize winners recognised at the London International Chopin Competition 2025, receiving three Festival Category Awards in Nocturne, Polonaise, and Scherzo.

The awards were presented at the Musical Moments Award Ceremony on 11 May at Ognisko Polskie – The Polish Hearth Club in London. The event brought together category winners from the UK, USA, Poland, and other countries, with performances given before a full audience.

Kevin’s appearance drew attention for its musical maturity and artistic control. Still in Year 10, he is currently studying piano at The Purcell School with Florian Mitrea.

Receiving three awards in a competition centered on Chopin’s music marks a notable achievement for a young pianist still in training, and highlights Kevin’s growing presence in the international youth piano scene.
